This recent publication is the last in a series of three papers about sustainable tourism. The first one was by me (Koot (2016), Contradictions of capitalism in the Kalahari), then Keyan Tomaselli responded to this paper with Picking on the poor (2017), to which I was invited to write a short response (Poor picking) in the same journal:
